However, parents of younger kids have the option of taking the kids along for the ride by walking or running while pushing their little ones in a stroller.

While many choose to use their regular stroller for exercising with their children, experts often recommend a jogging stroller for increased comfort (for both parent and child).

Some well-known three-wheeled jogging strollers can be pricey. According to Cheapism.com, high-end jogging strollers cost $400 or more. However, the website recently recommended some more affordable models for those looking to hit the streets and get some exercise.

Cheapism.com recommends the Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller ($175), the Schwinn Turismo Swivel Wheel Jogger ($176) and the Instep Safari Swivel Double Jogging Stroller ($160) as the top affordable picks.

While these strollers were found to be great options for budget-minded moms and dads, those looking to score a great deal on a jogging stroller can also choose to purchase a secondhand stroller at a store that sells used baby gear, such as Once Upon A Child.
