Jessica Simpson launching new fashion line

While many expectant parents are focused on preparing the nursery, purchasing the necessary new or used baby gear and choosing a name, moms-to-be are often also preoccupied with finding something to wear as their bellies grow.

They will soon have another option when it comes to maternity clothes. Celebrity designer and new mom Jessica Simpson has announced she is launching a line of maternity wear.

"I'm so excited to partner with Destination Maternity to design a collection of fashionable styles that make you look and feel great!" Simpson said in a statement released Monday. "You want to wear clothes that are flattering to your baby bump - you want to show your bump off."

According to a press release, the line will include "breezy, everyday pieces" that will help modern moms remain fashionable throughout their pregnancies. Items include denim, leggings, printed blouses, maxi dresses, form-fitting dresses, jackets, blazers and sweaters.

The pieces start at $36 each and will be available starting this fall at Motherhood Maternity, Destination Maternity and Macy's stores nationwide.

According to Newsday, Simpson, who recently gave birth to daughter, Maxwell Drew, has successfully entered the world of fashion with several different lines that encompass 24 product categories, including clothes, jewelry, shoes and beauty products.
