Company releases high-tech stroller
While many baby products are becoming more advanced than ever, a new stroller seems to take this trend just a little bit further. The Origami stroller by 4Moms is arguably the most high-tech stroller to hit the market yet. It features an onboard generator that powers a variety of functions within the stroller, including a cell phone charger and an LCD interface that shows you how far you've gone, how fast you're walking, the temperature and how charged your battery is.
These functions don't need batteries to function, instead the system recharges while you walk.
"Products for kids consume millions of alkaline batteries each year, and we didn’t want to add to that total," the 4Moms.com website states. "The Origami has built-in generators so the system recharges itself while you walk. Sure, you can plug it into a wall, but a short walk is all it takes to keep the battery fully charged. It's hard to be greener than that."
The stroller also features headlights and can fold on its own with the touch of a button. It even has a sensor that stops the folding mechanism from working if there is a child in the seat.
The Origami is currently available at select retailers and sells for $849.
Moms who want the very best for their little ones should know that they can often find luxury strollers and other used baby gear for significantly less at stores that specialize in selling secondhand items.
